Prenatal Yoga for 3rd Trimester

As a pregnant woman's baby grows bigger, we use this prenatal yoga session to guide and encourage the woman to trust and believe in herself and her body’s innate power to birth. This will include a modified yoga practice to avoid inversions and abdominal work but introduces asanas to strengthen the body, increase endurance and teaches birth postures to open the pelvis allowing the baby to stay head down in position. This session also introduces tools to strengthening the pelvic floor muscles to prepare for birth, avoiding episiotomy during birth and incontinence during postpartum and beyond.
A union of the breath linked to the body, opens up a connection between the conscious mind and subconscious mind cultivating a deeper bond with her new body and the spirit growing within - her baby. When creating this connection throughout labour, the mother can further release pain and fear with movement and breath connection which will be explored throughout the practice.
This session takes into consideration the preparation for the whole body, mind, heart and soul for the 3rd trimester and birth.
